Husband has mobility and cognitive challenges. At night he has a urinal on the nightstand however occasionally he just misses...sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. I bought a heavy floormat to match the size of these pads and I adhere the pad taping the sides to the back of the mat. The mat sits right next to the bed and catches the drips and streams. At first I taped the mat right to the hardwood floor but these things stick well and left a residue...this works better. This system works just as well on carpet, heavy mat lays flat. Also use a pad under the sheet on the mattress pad

It works really well and keeps bedding dry.
